About the Installation of Safety Fences and Gates

SafeWater's Removable Safety Fence and Gate is based on a simple tension concept and yet it requires a concise and intricate installation. SafeWater's highly trained technicians have over ten years of experience installing these tension-based Removable Safety Fences and Gates. Our gates self-close, self-latch with Magna•Latch safety gate latches. Magna•Latch is a revolutionary breakthrough in latching security for child safety.

Powered by the latest "Permanent Magnets" which never lose power, these quality latches incur no mechanical interference to closure and so, offer unprecedented reliability, safety, and child resistance.

This tension fence system securely connects a series of 15 foot sections linked to each other by safety latches and connect to a Safety Gate.

There is approximately 36 inches of high quality Textilene mesh between the poles.

These sections are connected at the top with a section latch. The latch and spring are rust-free and will not corrode or deteriorate.

The Installation Technician meets with the property owner prior to beginning the installation to review the placement of the gate and the direction of the fence.

The deck is marked by the Installation Technician to show the placement of the gate and fence.

1-1/8 inch holes are drilled 4" deep at certain intervals around the deck where the poles will be placed.

Should you choose to have the fence go over an area of dirt instead of concrete or other solid decking, the Installation Technician will have already advised you during the Estimate Appointment of the placement of concrete pods so that the pole can be securely placed.

All drilling is done with a high quality water-cooled core-drill using a diamond tipped core-bit. This precision process allows us to make perfectly sized holes to fit and support the pool safety fence poles.

Custom designed, non-conducive polypropylene sleeves are placed into the holes. These sleeves are high-impact and will hold the poles. These sleeves will not corrode.

We provide you with deck caps to closely match your deck area (tan, grey or clear color) — to cover the holes when the fence is removed and not in use.
